It’s official – you’re all set for an extraordinary Royal Caribbean holiday! So what happens now? Here’s a short guide to some important details that will help you get organised before you sail.

There are two types of flight booking reference, which you will receive once you have booked your flights with us. While the numbers may be the same, they are used to access different information:

Carrier Reference – can be quoted when contacting your airline, and to check-in online before your flight to save you time at the airport.

Record Reference – can be used to log in to to see your flight itinerary. Sometimes, if you are part of a group booking, you may not be able to see your itinerary using this number because of data protection. Sorry, but it’s the law!

When you have made your booking with us, you can view your flight information in the Travel Arrangements section of your invoice, or the Air Arrangements section of your Guest Ticket Booklet.

Can’t see it yet? Don’t worry—we’ll send a revised one to you closer to your sailing date when your flights have been assigned.

Alternatively, if you booked through one of our lovely travel partners, they will send your flight details to you directly.

Please note that we cannot book flights more than 10 months in advance of a sailing date.

The best way to find out about luggage allowances for your flights is to check directly with your chosen airline, to avoid unforeseen problems or extra charges.

As a general rule of thumb, the upper limit for most airlines is about 20-30kg, but to make doubly sure, we definitely recommend checking with your particular flight operator.

Before you travel, you’ll need to provide us with some details about you and the people you’re travelling with. This is a legal airline requirement, so any missing information could hold up your holiday—and we definitely wouldn’t want that! To make sure you can sail hassle-free, we need the following information for everyone on your booking:

Passport number

Country of issue

Passport expiry date

Full names as they appear on your passport—including any middle names

Date of birth

The quickest and easiest way to provide these details is by completing our Online Check-in process, which you can find on the Overview page of the My Cruises tool. All you need to begin is your surname, booking reservation number, ship and sail date.
