Stay Stress Free At Sea

It’s hard to imagine ever feeling uptight when onboard with us. We pride ourselves on taking the stress away from your holiday and vow to make your cruise adventure a rewarding, stress-free experience. With everything from our impeccable 24 hour room service to relaxing in the spa or soaking up the sun by the pool, cruising with us is the perfect way to unwind and disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We’ve come up with some tips and tricks on how to remain mindful when onboard.

All Inclusive Holidays

The ease of a cruise holiday is one of its biggest benefits. Wake up to a new destination every day without the need to pack and unpack – no case lugging required! There is no need to worry about booking accommodation, finding a place to eat or scheduling activities to keep the whole family occupied. You can enjoy everything from complimentary food to limitless access to activities and entertainment. Spa Treatments

From a deep-tissue muscle massage and 45-minute acupuncture, to unwinding in a steam room and sauna, we have dedicated staff who are eager to help you de-stress and relax whilst onboard. We also offer a range of vitality programmes and wellness seminars to help you feel wholesome and inspired. Gym & Swim

Vigorous exercise helps to release the endorphins necessary to raise your mood; the best type of exercise for this being cardiovascular and aerobics. Luckily, we offer a number of classes and have a wide range of sports and fitness facilities, both in and outdoors. From treadmills and elliptical trainers in the gym to an outdoor running track, you’ll have no issue breaking a sweat and getting those endorphins going! Running outdoors whilst inhaling the fresh ocean air and taking in the exquisite sea views will do wonders for your state of mind, as will the option to unwind in a cantilevered whirlpool or swim away your stress in the onboard pools.  Take a look at our onboard activities so that you can make the most out of staying active at sea.

Kids Clubs

We understand that sometimes while on holiday, having some time away from your children can mean some (fairly rare) peace and quiet. If you have a child over one-year-old, we offer an in-room babysitting service. This is offered in a group setting or individually in your stateroom on a first come, first-served basis, so be sure to book at the Guest Relations Desk well in advance. Our Adventure Ocean Programme caters for children from a young age, with activities tailored to each age group; Royal Babies (6-18 months) and Royal Tots (18-36 months) can enjoy interactive playgroup sessions, 3-5 year old Aquanauts can enjoy face-painting, 6-8 year old Explorers can enjoy Arts and Crafts and 9-11 year old Voyagers can enjoy Backstage Tours! Teens can stay up until the ‘Late Hours’, with teen-only spaces that offer open mic nights, talent shows and pool parties (an hourly rate applies after 10pm). Sign your children up before you go out to sea and they’ll be so preoccupied with having fun, you’ll have plenty of time to yourself!

Being Mindful Onboard

3-p1b1pi9gf31llo19s79lm6o55su (1) When you rise and shine in the morning, it’s good to be as mindful of your surrounding environment as possible. Focusing on your breathing allows you to feel energized and can combat feelings of depression and anxiety. See if you can follow this simple process when you wake up in your room, in order to start your day feeling invigorated and energised: 1. Sit on the edge of your bed or upright on a chair with your back straight and feet flat on the floor. 2. Reach straight up with both hands with palms flat. 3. Inhale deeply. Hold your breath. Whilst doing this, squeeze your fists so that the muscles in your arms tighten. 4. Slowly exhale. Keeping your arms tense, slowly lower your fists to your chest (as if pulling down on two tight rubber bands) 5. Repeat steps 2 and 3 a couple of times. 6. On the final repetition, cross your arms over your chest. Rest your fingers on the upper parts of your chest, with your wrists crossed in the middle. 7. Drop your chin to your chest. 8. Inhale four short breaths without exhaling. 9. Hold your breath. 10. Exhale slowly through your mouth. Repeat steps 8-10 for a few minutes, concentrating on the rhythm of your breath. Luckily, sunlight is also extremely beneficial to those who suffer from low moods; direct sunlight releases Vitamin D, which is important for both your physical and mental health (we can assure you that you’ll get plenty of sunshine when out at sea!). Though it’s important to wear sun cream and protect your skin from UV rays, ensure that you get to take regular strolls around the outdoor deck for short bursts at a time (or perhaps make the most out of your sun lounger) in order to get your fill!
