For the utmost relaxation and the ultimate ways to de-stress, here’s our two-day itinerary for unwinding onboard with Royal Caribbean.

Day One

9am: Take a stroll

As the sun begins to rise and the birds begin to sing, kick back your covers and head out onto the ship’s deck for a morning stroll. Feel the early morning warmth on your skin and pause to look out to sea or set eyes on that day’s port of call for the first time. Starting your day this way gives you the opportunity to focus your mind and prepare your body for the day’s activities.

11am: Join the Vitality Programme

For many people, life can sometimes feel unbalanced. What with the stresses of work, parenting and everything else, addressing this lack of balance can sometimes feel out of reach. This is where our Vitality Programme can help. Our onboard experts will provide you with a wealth of advice on everything from health and fitness to stress and nutrition, with the goal of improving your overall well-being.

1pm: Have a long lunch

How much time do you usually spend on lunch? 30 minutes? Or maybe it’s even less. Settle down at one of our many onboard restaurants and have a long, relaxing lunch. Peruse the menu at your own leisure, have a glass of wine and take some time to really experience your food; its appearance, its smell, its taste. This way you’ll you enjoy the food the way it should be enjoyed.

3pm: Indulge in a massage

With your hunger satisfied and your mind relaxed, it’s time to get rid of any physical tension. Your muscles are under stress each day, whether your job involves traditional physical exertion or not, and a muscle-melting massage is the perfect remedy. Make your way to our onboard Spa and prepare to be pampered into a state of total calm.

5pm: Relax in the library

The final part of day one should be spent in the library where you can pick up a bestselling novel or one of the classics, and immerse yourself in another world. By this point you should be feeling stress-free and serene, so you can spend a few hours absorbed in whichever book you may choose.

Day Two

9am: Start with a sauna

Day two of your relaxation itinerary begins with a Scandinavian-inspired sauna session, which will refresh your skin and calm your mind. The steam will open your pores and remove any toxins, leaving you with revitalised and rejuvenated skin that will feel incredibly soft and smooth. At the same time, this quiet atmosphere will give you a moment to think and reflect.

11am: Catch some rays

Vitamin D is important for good health and well-being, so you need to ensure you get your daily dose. The sun is one of the best sources of vitamin D, so a morning spent relaxing on a sun lounger is a morning well spent. Settle down on one of our poolside loungers and soak up the sun’s rays, as you read a book or doze. You’ll leave the lounger feeling both energised and relaxed at the same time.

1pm: Retail therapy

After a morning outside, escape the midday sun and spoil yourself with a spot of retail therapy. Our onboard boutiques provide a range of luxury items and products, perfect as a treat for yourself or as gifts for loved ones. Let your mind wander as you browse the shops and let go of all your worries.

3pm: Rejuvenate your skin

Give your skin the pampering it deserves with a Microdermabrasion HydraLift Facial at the Spa. This replenishing treatment will remove any dead skin cells, before cleansing and polishing your skin back to life. You’ll exit the spa with youthful-looking skin and a spring in your step.

5pm: Get back to nature

After a long day of pampering, it’s time to get back to nature. Make your way to Central Park and take a seat amongst the plants and flowers in Central Park, our onboard park. The calming atmosphere and tranquil surroundings create the ultimate setting for you to fully unwind and forget about anything that has been bothering you. A perfect end to a perfect day.
