As summer draws to a close and the kids head back to school, you’re probably dreaming of your next holiday and where you’ll decide to go. The autumn half term in October gives you an opportunity to get away for a few days, soak up some sunshine and forget about your everyday routine. To give you an idea of where you can take your family this autumn, we’ve selected a few short cruises, which are up to four nights – perfect for a half term holiday!

Royal Experience, Paris and Bruges

Nights: Three Ship: Anthem of the Seas Day One: Southampton Your cruise begins at Southampton, the cruising capital of Europe, where you’ll climb onboard the magnificent Anthem of the Seas and depart for Belgium at 4.30pm. Spend the rest of the afternoon exploring the ship and taking part in fun activities – like rock climbing and roller-skating – before enjoying a delicious meal at one of our many onboard restaurants. And that’s just a few of the things you can do before bedtime. Day Two: Bruges, Belgium When you wake up you’ll find yourself in the beautiful city of Bruges. This historic town is a hotbed of culture, art and amazing architecture, so you’ll be spoilt for choice when deciding how to spend your day. Join one of our shore excursions or simply spend the day exploring the many cobbled streets and canals, it’s completely up to you.

Day Three: Paris, France After a night of cruising while you sleep, Anthem will dock in Paris, also known as the City of Love. You’ll be docked from 7am until 9pm, so there’s plenty of time to see some of Paris’ most famous sights, including the Arc de Triomphe, the Eiffel Tower and The Louvre. Don’t forget to indulge in delicious French cuisine while you’re in Paris, as it boasts some of the best in the world.

Best of Incheon Cruise

Nights: Four Ship: Mariner of the Seas Day One: Tianjin, China This eastern cruise sets sail from Tianjin, a major port city in the northeast of China, and your home for the duration of the trip will be the Mariner of the Seas. Before you depart, spend some time exploring the city: take a walk through the picturesque People’s Park, feast on some traditional cuisine at Nanshi Cuisine Street and visit the Tianjin Museum. Once you board the ship you can enjoy great features and facilities, as you’d expect from any Royal Caribbean ship, and you can spend the evening discovering them all. Day Two: Cruising Day two of your cruise will be spent at sea, giving you the chance to really take advantage of everything that’s onboard the ship. Play a round of mini golf with the kids, relax and unwind at the sauna, grab a bite to eat at the Italian restaurant, Portofino – these are just a few ideas to get you started. There’s so much to do that you might have trouble fitting it all in to just one day!

Day Three: Seoul, South Korea The capital city of South Korea is a modern metropolis with high-rise glass buildings and countless skyscrapers, and is fast becoming a popular destination for tourists from all over the world. It’s also home to more traditional architecture and surroundings, such as Buddhist temples and tranquil gardens. You’ll dock in Seoul at 7am, and with 13 hours to spend in the city, you’ve got time to see what Seoul is all about. In the evening you’ll hop back onboard the ship where you can enjoy a gourmet meal and some fun entertainment. Day Four: Cruising After a busy day in Seoul you’ll spend day four at sea, which is sure to be fun for the whole family. Strap on some ice skates and see how you fare on the ice, do a spot of shopping at the Royal Promenade boutiques or take the kids for a scoop of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream. Or, you can do all of the above and more! When you’re onboard a Royal Caribbean ship the world really is your oyster… or should we say ship. Bahamas Cruise

Nights: Four Ship: Majesty of the Seas Day One: Miami, Florida Home to the glorious South Beach, which is known for its incredible nightlife and glamorous crowd, Miami is where your four night Bahamas Cruise begins. We’d recommend arriving in Miami a few days before your cruise, so you can spend some time appreciating this bustling, coastal city. Soak up the wonderful Floridian sun and experience the Cuban influence that can be seen all over the city. Let all your troubles go at our onboard spa. Let all your troubles go at our onboard spa. Day Two: Nassau, Bahamas While you’re sleeping, Majesty of the Seas will be making its way to Nassau, the capital city of the Bahamas, which is located on New Providence island. While docked in Nassau you can take part in our amazing Ruins and Dolphin Swim excursion, during which you’ll ride alongside dolphins and dive deep into saltwater lagoon. You’ll also get the chance to explore Ruins Lagoon, a recreation of the underwater ruins of the mythical city of Atlantis. After a day splashing around with dolphins, make your way back onboard for an evening meal and some fabulous entertainment. Day Three: CocoCay, Bahamas Day three will see your ship arrive at CocoCay, our very own private island. This idyllic island has lots to offer both kids and adults – snorkelling, parasailing, kayaking and guided walks. There’s even a waterpark! Spend the day doing whatever you like, as you enjoy the beautiful weather and crystal clear waters. It really is paradise on earth. CocoCay island in the Bahamas – this is what paradise looks like. Although this island city is part of the Sunshine State, it combines various cultural elements from Spain, Cuba and the Bahamas. As a result, Key West is very culturally diverse. Visit the Coral Reef State Park, explore Hemmingway’s house and then grab a slice of key lime pie – a lovely way to spend a day.
