Before You Book Your First Cruise

Booking your first cruise is a momentous occasion, but it may seem a little daunting. At Royal Caribbean we don’t want you to feel like you’re going it alone, so we’ve collated a few of the things we think you should know and put them into this blog post.

What’s included

Love all-inclusive? Then you’ll love a cruise. Almost everything onboard is included in one price, so you don’t have to worry about breaking the bank. While some things do cost extra, most of your onboard experience is paid for when you book.
  • Your room: When you book your cruise, you’ll be able to choose your preferred room (see accommodation section below). Choose a specific room, or book on a guarantee and the room will be allocated after booking.
  • Main dining: Our main dining dishes up delicious cuisine from around the world, and every meal is included in the price of your cruise.
  • Activities: From relaxing in the whirlpools to climbing the Rock Wall, almost all the onboard activities are free of charge.*
  • Entertainment: Whether you want to catch a West End-style musical or a spectacular ice show, with Royal Caribbean you can… and the entertainment won’t cost a penny extra!
  • Adventure Ocean® Kid’s Club: Our award-winning kid’s club, Adventure Ocean®, is open to kids between the ages of 6 months and 17 years, with specific clubs catering for different age groups.

Accommodation

All of our rooms and suites have been designed with you in mind, and with so many fantastic options to choose from, it can be tricky to choose just one.
  • Interior Room: These entry-level rooms are perfect for those who want a quiet space to relax and unwind. Interior Rooms on many of our ships have the addition of a virtual balcony.
  • Ocean View Room: Wake up to views of the sea or a brand new port, when you stay in one of our Ocean View Rooms. It comes complete with all the same features of the Interior Room, with a window out to sea.
  • Balcony Room: Gaze out to sea or look over Boardwalk or Central Park in one of our Balcony Rooms. As with all our rooms, choose from a king size bed or two twins. You can also order room serviceand enjoy your private balcony whenever you like.
  • Accessible Room: Our accessible staterooms are designed for guests who have special requirements. They’re fitted with wider doors, ramps, roll-in showers, lowered wardrobe rails and more. Find out more here.
  • Royal Suite Class**: Elevate your Royal Caribbean experience when you stay in a suite. Ranging in size, configuration and amenities, our suites guarantee a new level of luxury.
