Activities for Tots

By AdeleFriday 13th September 2013

tots1

We want everyone to be happy on your family cruise holiday, including your little ones, and we know that, tots will have the time of their life on a Royal Caribbean cruise with all the exciting activities we have onboard. Here’s a little guide to all the things your tots can do.

Fun for Your Tots

We believe that fun isn’t just for the older kids so our organised activities start for kids aged from 3. Toddlers can play with a range of Fisher Price toys as part of our packed activity programme or even borrow some to take back to your cabin. And, they can find their inner artist and get to grips with the Crayola Beginnings tools.

Join our 45 minute playgroup sessions where you can combine learning and play using music, toys and activities, which will keep your little ones entertained.

For kids who love the water, the onboard H20 Zone waterpark is the perfect place for them to play. There are fountains, waterfalls, geysers and water-squirting cannons for them to splash around in. Babies and kids in nappies can use the Baby Splash Zone, a water park area designed specifically for them and found on Freedom, Liberty, Independence, Oasis and Allure of the Seas.

Top Tip: Take your tot for a ride on the old-school carousel, found on Oasis and Allure of the Seas.

tots2The Royal Nursery

Make time for yourself and drop your little ones off at our Royal Babies (6-18 months) and Tots (18-36 months) Nursery. For a small fee per hour, you’ll get some peace and quiet while your baby is cared for by trained professionals. This service is available on Oasis and Freedom  class ships in the daytime or evening. So, why not grab the chance to relax in the spa, catch one of the onboard shows or enjoy a leisurely, specialty dinner?

Need a Babysitter?

If you need someone to look after your kids for a few hours, we also provide a babysitting service for children aged over 12 months. You can choose for them to be looked after in a group, or individually, in the comfort of the familiar surrounds of your stateroom. Book through the guest relations desk onboard at least 24 hours in advance and you can use this service between 8am and 2am, when staff are available.

Cost: $19 per hour (for up to 3 children within the same family). Please note ships sailing from the UK do not provide babysitting.

What do your tots enjoy doing on a family holiday? Which baby and tots facilities do you use the most onboard our ships?
