Water Park Fun in the Sun

By AdeleFriday 11th October 2013

When the sun is shining, and your kids want to have fun and keep cool, a water park is the perfect answer. The swirling rapids, daring rides and adventure pools will have your kids loving every moment of their holiday. That’s why we have developed these shore and land excursions; offering you and your family the chance to explore the destination but also have a huge amount of fun splashing around too!

What can we do onboard?

If you or your kids have always wanted to try surfing but haven’t yet had the chance, try the onboard Flowrider. Our surfing simulator lets you ride the waves with the help of an instructor. Or, head to the fun filled H20 Zone, Royal Caribbean International’s very own water playground for kids and parents alike.flowrider

The supersized Atlantis Adventure water park

If your destination of choice is the Bahamas, then you’re in for a treat. Atlantis Aquaventure, the largest water park in the Caribbean, will have you speeding down their super-soaking 18 water slides and mile long rapid river ride. If you prefer to dive in, there are 11 pools to choose from including three kid’s pools. You’ll be able to rest while your little ones splash around in the safety of the Mayan themed water playground (a maximum of 3ft depth).

If waterparks aren’t your thing, Aquaventure also has state of the art climbing walls, with an impressive 12 different surfaces to choose from.

And if the thought of joining your kids on the rides isn’t tempting you away from your lounger and holiday novel, then don’t worry. Aquaventure has many pools you can relax alongside, or choose the Lazy River, a long pool ride where you can sit back and enjoy the scenery.

The private island of Labadee

Labadee is our own exclusive Caribbean cruise destination. The Haitian private island is scenic and peaceful, but there’s always room for a little adventure and you’ll find it at the Arawak Aqua Park. Your kids will have hours of fun clambering over the floating ice bergs, bouncing on the giant floating trampolines, and slipping and sliding down the water slides. Known as the ‘inflatable water park’, it’s packed with plenty of other fun water toys which your kids are sure to love.

And, if you’re leaving the jumping to and from giant floating trampolines to your kids, you can sit and soak up the sun on Labadee’s private beach.
