The Ultimate Virtual Tour of Harmony of the Seas

By BijalTuesday 31st May 2016

A few weeks ago, the long-awaited Harmony of the Seas set off on her pre-inaugural voyage through the English Channel. We had a whole host of people join us onboard, from travel agents to celebrities, including world-class freerunner, Pip Andersen.

Harmony of the Seas has 2,747 staterooms, 18 decks, 23 swimming pools, 42 bars and the tallest slide at sea, making it our most extraordinary ship yet. And in the words of Stuart Leven, Royal Caribbean UK and Ireland Managing Director, “To just capture film or pictures of the exterior is not really doing it justice.” So we asked Andersen, who shot to fame in the latest instalment of Star Wars, to come onboard and use his unique talent to create a virtual tour of the ship. Pip said: “I have never seen anything like it. It’s like a five star hotel at sea!  My freerunning is usually done through built-up cityscapes, so to be asked to explore a ship and free-run as I might through a classic urban environment was pretty different. I was spoilt for choice in terms of areas to explore and activities to take in; a rock wall, TWO surf simulators, a zip line and Ultimate Abyss (a 10-storey slide one and a half times taller than the Angel of the North), I mean, it’s basically a giant playground.”
