How to Keep your Kids Entertained on Explorer of the Seas

By AdeleFriday 02nd May 2014

From whizzing down water slides in Tenerife, to surfing on our FlowRider, there is never a boring day on a cruise holiday. And now that Explorer of the Seas is sailing from the UK in 2015 you’ll have even more of a reason to hop aboard and join in with the fun! Here’s what you and your kids can look forward to on your next holiday.

Pool-side entertainment!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic While you enjoy a relaxing swim in the Solarium, or unwinding in the bubbling whirlpools, your kids can have a blast with the various activities available poolside. Your kids will get to dash in and out of the pools, and if your older kids want to try something new, they can hit the waves on our super-fast surfing simulator, FlowRider. With over 60,000 gallons of water rushing past every minute, the FlowRider is an exciting and thrilling water sport to try out onboard!

Activities for your adrenaline junkies

If your kids love a little excitement on holiday, then they’ll love the range of exhilarating activities available onboard Explorer of the Seas. Not afraid of heights? Then your kids will get to speedily ascend the rock-climbing wall, which is an incredible 200 feet above sea-level – yikes!

Sit back and relax on your sun loungers and enjoy a whole range of kid-friendly blockbuster movies your whole family are bound to love! Indoors, you and your kids will also get up close and personal with your favourite characters at our 3D Movie Theatre – get ready to be blown away!

Royal Babies & Tots and Youth Zone

On top of all the family activities, there is a full range of fantastic resources available just for kids! Onboard Explorer of the Seas you’ll have access to a wide range of child care facilities run by trained professionals, who can help with your babies and toddlers, and organise fun and exciting activities for your older kids to enjoy. With discos, arts and crafts, and entertaining games your kids won’t get the chance to be bored.

Fun to be had on shore

Visit the Palma Aquarium in Mallorca and watch sharks guard the tanks as the many other colourful fish dart from one place to the next. In Tenerife they’ll get the chance to splash around at Siam Park Water Kingdom, as well as whizzing down waterslides and bobbing up and down on fun shaped inflatables! Image and video hosting by TinyPic A highlight of Explorer of the Seas is visiting Agadir, Morocco. You and your kids will get to meet a local Berber family and enjoy a delicious traditional lunch with them. After that, you’ll all have the chance to speed off on a jeep and enjoy a mini safari on the Massa Nature Reserve – amazing! Image and video hosting by TinyPic
