Best of the Towel Animals

By BijalTuesday 17th September 2013

You get back to your room and there’s an orangutan hanging from the ceiling! Don’t sweat, it’s one of the towel animals. The skilled folding of small towels to make quirky animals and characters is likened to origami and the ritual has fast become tradition in the cruise industry. Our staff lovingly hand-craft quirky designs for you and leave them in your stateroom to keep you smiling. We thought we’d showcase the best of them, here on the blog. We asked our Facebook community to post photos of their favourite towel animal creations and here are the results…

1)      Towel monkey and friend

2)      Batty or cute?

3)  Cool as an…elephant?

4)      We’re not sure what to make of this one, but he’s made himself comfortable!

5)      Too cute?

6)      That is one cool bunny!

Here’s what our Facebook fans thought about the towel animals…

I love them. I always look forward to going back to the room to see what we get! Melly Solly We loved these and found ourselves peeping round the door to see what was going to greet us! Clair Smith Aww, these bring back such happy memories. Leia Blythe One night I had one that looked like my puppy...it was so cute. Jayne Edwards Palao Loved coming back to the cabin to see what animal our steward had created. My favourite is the elephant with sunglasses. Maureen Wood We loved the swinging monkey. That always gave us a giggle. Barbara McKane What do you think? Vote for your favourite below.
