Take a Tour around our Brand New Quantum Class

By JoWednesday 14th January 2015

After the launch of our newest ship Quantum of the Seas, and with the upcoming departure of Anthem of the Seas fast approaching, we thought it perfect timing to provide you with a sneak preview of life onboard our most technologically advanced ships to date. Using Google Street View technology, which previously allowed you to explore Allure of the Seas, we’ve designed our second online tour, and this time it’s of our Quantum Class.

We’ve put together a handy guide on what to keep an eye out for, from top restaurants to the best places to have fun with your kids.  From our onboard sky diving simulator, RipCord, to our mechanical bartenders at Bionic Bar, there’s so much to see that you’ll just want to hurry up and go.  So, feel free to start snooping around, we can’t wait until you’re onboard!

Technology and innovation

As you use the Google Street View technology to make your way around the ship, you’ll come across our latest innovations From the bionic bartenders that’ll shake you up a cocktail in no time at all, to the North Star, where you’ll get the chance to rise above the ship and take in the awe-inspiring ocean vistas around you, the technology available onboard is like nothing you’ll have seen before.

Entertainment onboard

As part of Quantum’s innovative design, the new class of ships will also include the Two70° venue, which includes our celebrated robotic screens. Watch the screens twirl, turn and twist in time to the music of StarWater, a fantastic performance of acrobatics and singing that is often compared to the Cirque du Soleil. If you prefer to tap your feet along to live music, then click your way through to the Music Hall, where musicians light up the room during the evening to perform all sorts of different music genres, from jazz to rock – just take your pick!

Fun for everyone

As you click your way to the top outdoor deck, you’ll discover our collection of fantastic pools, as well as our sky diving simulator RipCord and surfing classic, FlowRider. While onboard, you and your kids will get the chance to twirl around inside the RipCord flying tube, taking in the ocean views. And, when you all fancy a cool down, you can catch some waves on the FlowRider and enjoy the cooling spray of the water as you bask in the Caribbean heat.
Once you’ve explored every corner of the outside, be sure to click through to the inside of the top deck, where you’ll arrive at the SeaPlex, an indoor arena where you and your family can have tons of fun. From racing each other in bumper cars, to bouncing around basket balls and even gliding along in roller skates, your kids are bound to love catching a glimpse of this incredible entertainment zone.

Enjoy a sneak peak of our Quantum dining experience, and take a tour of the amazing restaurants available onboard. For a bit of magic and intrigue, wander into the delightful world of Wonderland, where the colourful keys hanging from the ceiling and the artistically decorated tables match the amazingly creative food. For a taste of Asia, peruse one of the latest additions to our fleet of complimentary dining options, Silk. Decorated with rich red silk curtains, cushions and beautiful dark wood Chinese dining tables, it’s a feast for the eyes, not just the taste buds. But, if you’re longing for a truly classical evening of fancy gowns and bow ties, be sure to check out The Grande restaurant, where once onboard you’ll be able to indulge in some 1920s-themed dining.
