Symphony of the Senses

By JoMonday 19th February 2018

The final coats of paint are being slathered on, the waterslides are being polished and the suites are having their last inspections. We are so excited to welcome you to the brand new Symphony of the Seas, that we just had to give you a sneak peek at our interactive event, Symphony of the Senses.

What can be expected from Symphony of the Seas?

Symphony is the largest ship in not only our fleet, but the world! Every inch of this super fun ship will be decked out in extraordinary, world-class amenities, activities and entertainment.
We aren’t only about relaxing by the pool onboard Symphony. Of course, there are places like the solarium pools where you can unwind, but if you’re looking for some wild action, then it’s the waterslides you’ll want.
Our star, Ultimate Abyss is the tallest slide at sea. With a staggering 10 storey drop, it’s the best way to get your heart racing. Old favourites Supercell, Typhoon and Cyclone can also be found at Splashaway Bay, so even if the 10 storey is a little daunting for you, there is still plenty of fun to be had.

One of the most exciting additions to Symphony of the Seas is the Ultimate Family Suite, a two storey suite designed for kids and those still young at heart. With a slide, air hockey table and a breath taking view of the sea through huge glass windows, you’re guaranteed an amazing time whatever age you are.

What was Symphony of the Senses?

There is nothing like unveiling a new ship, and even though we have designed many revolutionary ships in our past, we still can’t help feel the anticipation each time we present the latest addition to our line.
This time, it’s Symphony of the Seas, and to kick off our celebrations we held an event that gave lucky guests a taste of what was to come.

What happened at Symphony of the Senses

As Symphony of the Seas is such an exciting moment for us, we wanted to make sure there were lots of opportunities for everyone to experience what she has to offer.
So we set up Symphony of the Senses, a multi-sensory event that gave a glimpse of what could be expected from Symphony of the Seas when she takes to the seas. Our guests would dance through a tunnel, inspired by Ultimate Abyss (only without the 10 storey drop).

After, guests got to jump into a blue ball pit, representing the amazing onboard water activities you can get up to on our newest addition to the fleet. While in the ball pit, they even got to converse with their own genie- don’t say we don’t bring the magic to your holidays!

After a chill session with the genie, our guests made their way through the rainforest, just like they could on one of our shore excursions when they visit one of our incredible destinations.
We also offered a sample of what could be expected from the cuisine onboard with tastes of fresh guacamole, similar to what will be served in our El Loco Fresh restaurant.

The guacamole samples were just what our guests needed to give them the energy for a proper West End style performance. They hung out with our very own Tracy Turnblad from our production of Hairspray, singing and dancing through the show’s biggest hits.

Symphony isn’t just about relaxing, and spectacular plays. We also want to put your brainpower to the test, in our escape room. During Symphony of the Senses, our guests got a tasty treat if they managed to crack the code- a box of sweets.

Has Symphony of the Senses inspired you to visit the real Symphony of the Seas? Setting sail in 2018, she is travelling the world in incredible splendour.
