Dive into the January blues

By HarryThursday 01st February 2018

We know that it sounds a little strange to say ‘dive into the January blues’. The whole point is to avoid that slow, slightly miserable feeling that January brings. So, we are turning them on their head, by diving into the most beautiful blue spots in the world.

Juzcar, Spain

A tiny village two and a half hours from Marbella suddenly came to the attention of the world in 2011, all because of a film promotion. Originally one of the White Towns of Andalusia, Juzcar was painted blue to celebrate the release of the Smurfs movie. The original plan was always to paint the town back to white, but the residents loved the new look (not least because of the high amount of tourists it brought), and so it’s stayed blue. It’s not just blue buildings and Smurf statues that you have to look forward to in Juzcar. As with all Spanish towns worth their salt, there is a lovely 16th century church you can visit. And to really get under the skin of Spain, go on a guided tour of the nearby caves.

Excursions at sea

Of course, there is one large expanse of blue space we’re forgetting. The ocean. When you holiday with us, you will see more than your fair share of the beautiful big blue. If being surrounded by the large expanse of water makes you want to dive right in and explore, then you’re in luck. Join our snorkelling and scuba diving shore excursions to go beyond the depths where the most beautiful (and colourful) creatures live. If you want to see what is swimming beneath you, but aren’t sure about getting too close and personal, then join our glass bottom boat tours. You still get to see the hidden depths of the sea, but can stay warm and dry on the boat. Of course, that’s not all we offer in our range of shore excursions. For those of you who prefer the more active lifestyle, then hop on a jet ski, kayak or speedboat and join in our amazing water sports.

Ocean Voyages

There is no other way to embrace your ocean-loving, sea faring ways than to spend a couple of weeks sailing through the most incredible places in the world. Our ocean voyages offer you the chance to not only visit paradisiacal islands and ports, but spend some days to yourself, overlooking the sapphire-blue water. The voyages travel all over the world. Sail from Australia to Hawaii, stopping off at New Zealand, Bora Bora and Tahiti along the way. Or, venture from South Florida to Copenhagen. On this sailing, you will have plenty of days at sea to relax, but will be able to visit historic European destinations too, like Paris, Bruges and Amsterdam.
Embrace the January blues, and escape to the divine wonders of the world. There is no better way to start the new year.
