A Paradise for Children in Dubai

By AdeleWednesday 01st March 2017

A captivating city like Dubai is so appealing that everyone would love to visit. With this in mind, we’ve compiled a list of places that you can turn to when planning the ultimate child-friendly city break, in the world’s most exciting city! Take an awe-inspiring adventure to the Arabian Gulf with us onboard Vision of the Seas.

Things to Do

Dubai Mall

You can always count on one of the biggest shopping malls in the world to keep you and the family occupied. The Dubai Mall offers an incredible amount of facilities for children, including a huge Aquarium and Underwater Zoo! It’s so big and full of so many wonders that once you visit, you’ll be instantly captivated. Think air-conditioned spaces with everything from shopping to ice-skating, fountain displays, an abundance of dining-out options and a 155-million-year-old dinosaur. Whether you want to shop ‘til you drop with all your favourite labels, chase some adrenaline or simply kick back and relax - this is the perfect extraordinary getaway for when the desert city heat gets a little too much to handle.

Dubai Mall Aquarium & Underwater Zoo

Watch your little ones look on in awe at the Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo. A wonderland of adventure; sand sharks and stingrays will loom over you as you wander through the 48-metre long Aquarium tunnel, surrounded by sea life. You can choose between a number of different animal meet & greets; make some new furry friends with otters, meet the king of the crocodiles or say hello to a penguin!
Why not gain a whole new perspective through a glass-bottom boat? Get a closer look at 33,000 animals and 70 species in the largest aquarium in the world. Expect extraordinary memories to be made as you gaze with wonder at all the life underwater, with your family around you.

Dubai Ice Rink

The colossal Dubai Ice Rink is a chillingly-good social hotspot. A dynamic, entertaining venue of choice for both ice-skating enthusiasts and beginners, it offers lessons to all experience-levels, as well as the chance to simply enjoy the ice, cool down and have loads of fun with the family! Located in the Dubai Mall, the rink is surrounded by cafés, so you can keep yourselves refreshed. The perfect way to treat the children, we promise it will provide you with hours of fun!

Dubai Dinosaur

Whilst exploring the Dubai Mall, you’ll uncover the remains of a 155-million-year-old dinosaur, better known as the ‘DubaiDino’. If you’re feeling particularly scientific, then use the neo-Latin term: ‘Diplodocus longus’. The skeleton is over 24 metres long and 8 metres high, so you can watch as your children gaze up at a unique piece of history. Nearly 90% of the fossil’s bones are original, making the skeleton the most intact of its kind.
DID YOU KNOW? The Diplodocus longus was a vegetarian and would have weighed the same as five elephants!

Sea Plane Tour

Away from the hustle and bustle of the Mall, a Cessna seaplane is waiting at the Sea Terminal to take you and the family soaring into the air for a unique perspective of Dubai. Watch in awe as the skyscrapers shrink, and the people on the streets turn into miniatures! Give your children the window seat, and let them soak up the astounding sights of Dubai’s modern landmarks whilst enjoying luxurious comfort. Keep an eye out for a bird’s-eye view of the Palm Islands!

Burj Khalifa

The tallest building in the world – the Burj Khalifa is a must see in Dubai. Families can travel up more than 160 stories to the observation deck of the Burj Khalifa to enjoy a 360-degree view of the city. The lift only takes 60 seconds to get you to the top of the tower, which is an experience in itself! The Dubai skyline is spectacular, especially as the sun is setting, so bring your camera along and prepare to record this extraordinary moment. Your children will certainly have some interesting stories for ‘show and tell’ when they get back to school!
Do you and your family fancy discovering one of the world’s most popular cities? Visit Dubai and be mesmerized by the beauty of this city.
