A Never Ending Summer

If the promise of a never ending summer has caught your eye, then take a look at these amazing holiday destinations you and your family can enjoy throughout the year!

Fancy a summer break in Spain?

Image and video hosting by TinyPic Start your summer holiday by enjoying a cruise from the UK, to the sun-kissed city of Valencia. Between July and August temperatures in Valencia can reach highs of 40°c, which is the perfect weather for those of you looking to unwind on one of the many beautiful beaches along the city’s coast. A great beach to visit is El Saler Beach, a long sandy shore with warm, crystal clear water. Your kids can build sand castles and splash around in the stunning sea, as you lounge in the sun with a good book. Image and video hosting by TinyPic For something a little different, head to Valencia’s City of Arts and Science, a fascinating collection of buildings designed by Spanish architect Calatrava, which offer entertaining, educating and cultural activities. Treat yourself and the family to a visit to L’Hemisféric, an IMAX cinema and planetarium that’s sure to blow you away. The collection also includes the largest oceanographic aquarium in Europe; this giant aquarium contains 42 million litres of water, with an array of mesmerising marine life to spot, such as sharks, walruses and turtles! The City of Arts and Sciences also includes an interactive science museum, opera house and garden full of wonderful trees and flowers, so make sure you and your kids don’t miss out!

What about a summer break in December?

Sydney, Australia.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic While everyone in the UK will be shivering under their duvets during the chilly months of December, January and February, Australia will be boasting gloriously warm sunny days – so why not join them? If you’re travelling with your kids then be sure to pay a visit to Taronga Zoo, and be sure to look out for the Prince George Bilby Exhibit that was opened by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge during their recent Australian tour. As well as learning more about Australia’s endangered animals, you and your family can get close to some of the animals, such as feeding the giraffes and interacting with koalas – you even have the chance to become a zoo keeper for the day! Image and video hosting by TinyPic After a fun day with the animals, head over to Bondi beach where you and your kids can enjoy a game of volleyball in the sun. And when you need to cool down, you can all enjoy a dip in the glistening turquoise sea – perfect. Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Nassau, Bahamas.

With swaying palm trees, temperatures of up to 30°c in December, and ice cold drinks by the beach, Nassau in the Bahamas is the perfect getaway from the frosty winters of the UK. Head down to Nassau’s Aquaventure Park with the family, a huge water park that contains 8 adult pools and 3 kids’ pools, a mile-long river ride with rapids, and a 6-storey Mayan Temple with an exciting ride called the Serpent Slide. Not only do you get to zoom through rushes of water on the Serpent Slide, you’ll also get to spend some time in a glass tube that travels directly through a pool full of live sharks! Image and video hosting by TinyPic After a fun day at the water park be sure to take advantage of the beautiful coral reefs and sea life of the azure sea surrounding Nassau. Swim in the shallow waters, amongst the colourful, exotic fish, the graceful stingrays and, if you’re lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of a dolphin spinning into the air.
