Turkey

Turkey charms everyone who visits with its eclectic mix of rich cultures and style. The point where East and West meet, and the gateway from Europe into Asia connect in Istanbul. Countless empires have left their distinctive marks, which have now been woven seamlessly into the modern day and can be seen everywhere from the cuisine, to architecture and religion. Head to Bodrum, for the Mausoleum, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, Ephesus for its unrivalled history, or Istanbul to stock up on authentic Turkish delights and local olive oil. In Istanbul you can visit the St Sophie Museum, which started life as a church, later became a mosque and today is a museum to Turkey’s rich Byzantine heritage.

Israel

Spiritual and historical attractions can be found throughout Israel. East of Haifa is Tiberius where you may visit the Sea of Galilee, the River Jordan and the Mount of Beatitudes. In nearby Nazareth is the Basilica of the Anunciation, the largest Christian church in the Middle East. Further south in Jerusalem, you can see some of the most important sites of three of the world’s major religions including the Wailing Wall, the Dome of the Rock and in neighbouring Bethlehem, the Church of the Nativity. And for spine tingling non-denominational spirituality, you can greet the sunrise from the stunning lookout point at Masada.
